Limitless journey The Sabìr created by dap - Luigia d'Alfonso and Ada Perla are back in New York

Secret Essence of Italy is proud to announce the great return of two fantastic Italian artists to New York. The solo exhibition of the artistic duo dap will take place at Time Art Gallery, in the heart of the West Village, from January 10 to 16.

Following the warm welcome that the "Big Apple" reserved for them in 2019, the Sabìr and Totem painted by Luigia and Ada return to be exhibited in the city.

The artworks by dap with their signs, their colors invite the viewer to "listen" and enjoy visual storytelling that starting from a theme evolves into an individual journey that has no limits of time and space.

As noted by Roberto Savi, curator, and admirer of the Sabìr: "Luigia d'Alfonso and Ada Perla invite us to "navigate", they suggest a journey through recognizable, symbolic elements, which coexist with signs and abstract forms, fluid or halted by color, in which each work, each vision, is dedicated to a theme".

The exhibition runs January 10-16, 2022 at Time Gallery, 178 Bleecker Street, New York.

The Gallery is open daily from 11 am to 2 pm.

To make an appointment after business hours please email info@secretessenceofitaly.com

Opening reception - January 12, 2022, from 7 pm to 9 pm.

RAW – Rome Art Week 2021

Rome, 25 – 30 October 2021

This year at the Rome Art Week 2021 dap – Luigia d’Alfonso - Ada Perla and Michela Tomiselli has been featured at “Flowery room”, an artistic project that has involved other artists and a week full of events of performing arts.

dap and Michela Tomiselli

The artistic project “The Flowery room” was born during the lockdown 2020 due to the pandemic. The artistic duo dap suspended their four-hand painting process of Sabìr and their research and dialogue proceeded online by collaborating on future projects and new ideas.

Luigia d’Alfonso presented “Despite the lockdown…”, a series of varnish on plexiglass freely inspired by natural elements.

Ada Perla exhibited “I dwell the possibility”, a single stunning artwork realized in acrylic base with natural pigments on canvas.

Michela Tomiselli presented “Beyond…the surfaces”, her new series of abstract photographs

“1916 – Infinito”

Filippo Trojano has presented in Rome his solo exhibition titled "1916 - Infinito".

Filippo Trojano offers us a journey through time constructed as a theatrical piéce of five fragments. These gorgeous shots were taken at the artist's grandmother's house, which for four months was turned into their own little theatre. At the exhibition, hosted at the Spazio Nuovo Lab Gallery from October 23 to November 20, 2021, some of Trojano's masterpieces belonging to the "Ritratti di mare" series were on display.
