Paolo Gagliardi
Born in Enna in 1968, after the classical studies, he attended the faculty of engineering that he left at the graduation threshold. Since then he has been active as a window dresser and outfitter. In 2003 he founded “G2 allestimenti and events”, an interior design company. In 2016 he decided to open his own studio “236 multidisciplinary studio”. Alongside working as an interior designer, he also keeps busy working as a Product Designer and Graphic Designer. He plans and designs commercial spaces, offices and houses for private clients.
The iconic vases of Palermo’s traditional legend are reinterpreted as suspension lights and as light sculptures, made of ancient olive wood, issued in a limited edition. Their manufacturing process combines an advanced numerical control technology with accurate craftsmanship. After assembling the various components, they are hand-finished through a meticulous engraving and polishing phase that makes every single product unique.
It is a small table lamp that can be used indoor and outdoor as well. Allucia is made of water-repellent Valchromat and it is equipped with LED lighting system with rechargeable battery. Simple and linear, freely inspired by a red brick water tank tower peeked through the balcony of Paolo’s grandmother’s house.
